CFAN produces probabilistic forecasts of rainfall, streamflow, drought and inundation on timescales of 1-15 days, 2-4 weeks, and 1-6 months. Customizable to the user's requirements and scalable for operation throughout the world, CFAN's Hydrological Forecasting System is designed to provide critical decision guidance by better anticipate flooding events.


CFAN's Hydrological Forecasting System uses a state-of the art distributed hydrologic model to simulate land surface water balance and streamflow for your watershed.  A detailed land surface model is used as the basis for simulating inundation under high streamflow conditions. When combined with probabilistic forecasts of rainfall, snowpack and surface meteorology, CFAN's Hydrological Modeling System produces probabilistic forecasts of streamflow, flood and drought conditions.
